Privacy Policy
How Happiora handles your details — written in plain English, because privacy policies shouldn't need a lawyer to read. Short version: we collect what we need to host you, and we don't sell anything to anyone.
01What we collect
Only what a stay or an evening actually needs:
- Booking details — name, contact (email or phone), dates, and whatever you tell us about the occasion.
- Stay details — check-in/out times, room preferences, dietary notes you share with the kitchen.
- ID for the salon — sighted at the door for the 18+ check; we record entry, not your licence details.
- Site basics — anonymous analytics: pages visited, device type. Nothing that identifies you.
02What we do with it
- Confirm and run your booking, event or salon reservation.
- Reply to enquiries — a person writes back, so they need your contact details.
- Meet our legal obligations (licensed premises keep entry and incident records).
- Occasionally email guests about things like seasonal openings — only if you opt in, and it's easy to stop.
03What we never do
- Sell, rent or trade your details — full stop.
- Track you around the internet or buy data about you.
- Keep card numbers — deposits are held through our payment provider, we never see the full card.
- Photograph guests in the salon for marketing — the room stays private by design.
04Who sees it
Three groups, all tightly limited:
- Our team — front desk, kitchen and events staff see what they need for your booking.
- Providers — our payment processor and email service, under their own privacy obligations.
- The law — regulators and licensing authorities where SA law requires it.
05How long we keep it
Booking records stay for seven years (Australian tax law). Enquiry emails that don't become bookings are cleared out yearly. Salon entry logs follow licence requirements. Marketing emails keep going until you unsubscribe — one click, no guilt trip.
06Your rights
Ask us anytime — in person at the desk, or via happiora@gmail.com:
- See what we hold about you.
- Fix anything that's wrong.
- Ask us to delete what the law lets us delete.
- Complain — to us first, or to the OAIC if you'd rather.
